Track and Field season is clipping along and going well. At this point, we have had many athletes improving their PR times/distances and one athlete broke a school record! The trial Boys Volleyball season ends this week, with culminating playoffs hosted at DCS. It has been a fun and entertaining season, with a lot of growth and skill development. As we move through the final weeks of school for this year, make sure you are up to date on all that is happening through the Eagle Eye.
Now that Spring has sprung and the weather is improving, please make sure your children are always supervised by an adult when using the playground after school. The school does not provide after-school supervision and students are not to be left unattended. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Senior Spotlight – Julia Mitchell
Julia has been a DCS student since kindergarten, but her years at DCS started well before that as she became involved in the DCS community through watching and supporting her older brothers. Following graduation, Julia will be going to Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan where she will pursue a sports management degree while also playing Volleyball as an SAU Cougar. Julia will definitely miss the DCS community but is excited to build community at Spring Arbor. When asked for a favorite DCS memory, she said senior volleyball season this year and winning the State Championship is at the top of the list but catching the microwave on fire in 5th grade is a close second. Julia has seen God working in her life this year by broadening her knowledge to strengthen her walk with God through the opportunities He’s given her to witness to others.

Open Teaching Positions for 2023-2024 – DCS is taking applications for open teaching positions for the upcoming school year. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact the school office. Open positions include Secondary Math and Science, Upper Elementary, and Kindergarten.
