Thank you so much to everyone who blessed the staff this past week during Teacher Appreciation Week. We felt loved on and spoiled with so many gifts and goodies. From Nurse Jessi: we have had a sharp increase in students with fevers these last two weeks, and many confirmed cases of Influenza A and B. Flu can present with fever, body aches, headache, chills, and runny/stuffy nose. In children, it can also include vomiting and/or diarrhea.
We will be taking extra steps to sanitize desks and high touch surfaces more frequently at school. Please take the extra precautions of sanitizing lunch boxes and water bottles at home.
As a reminder, if your student has a fever (temp over 100.4F) he/she will need to be home until they are 24 hours fever free without medication. For vomiting/diarrhea, they need to be home for 48 hours after last episode for return to school.
Only one more week until the 3rd- 5th grade annual Boys Basketball Camp, May 20th – 23rd, 3:30pm - 5:00pm. The camp is being organized and run by the varsity basketball coaches and players. Don’t miss out, sign up today!
