We are so thankful all our high school living classroom experiences were safe and fruitful over the last 10 days and are looking forward to hearing all the stories and seeing God continue to work in each of these student’s lives. We are also excited to get the 2024-2025 school year underway for all grades this week and anticipate seeing you all at one or both campuses for Back-to-School Family Night! It looks like we have some unusually hot days ahead of us this week. Please make sure you are sending water bottles with your children to school each day. We will be keeping a close eye on the heat index and will let you know if the weather causes any cancellations or closures for school and/or sporting events. School closure notifications are sent out via all-school emails and through FlashAlert.
DCS uses FlashAlert to notify parents when there is an unexpected school closure or emergency situation. If you have not done so already, you will want to set up a free FlashAlert Messenger subscription at https://www.flashalert.net/regions/ Select the Portland/Vancouver/Salem region, then enter Damascus Christian to search for and select our school. Follow the remaining prompts to set up your subscription.
