Barton Campus Information

Our first day of school at the Barton campus started with donuts and chocolate milk greetings from our Student Council followed by student led outdoor worship in the amphitheater area behind the gym. Students were able to get familiar with the campus this past week and settle into their schedules.

Electives were selected on Wednesday and secondary students were placed based on their 1st, 2nd & 3rd choices for each elective session. The majority of students were able to get their first or second choices. Regardless, there is an open add/drop period until Friday of this week (September 13th) where students will have the opportunity to submit an Add/Drop Form to the Barton school office to request a change to their schedule. This form can be found on our website under the resources and links page, or students can pick up a copy in the school office. Requests are approved according to availability and on a first come, first serve basis.

If you still want or need help getting your student’s computer checked for Barton campus accessibility, Mrs. Harrison will be available in Room 201 on the Barton campus between 3:15-4:00 pm Monday and Tuesday of this week. You do not need an official appointment, but please email her at joann.harrison@dcs4you.org to let her know what day you will be dropping by. This allows her to plan better. Make sure to include student(s) name(s) and grade level.

We are working on solutions to smooth out the flow of traffic during pickup at the Barton campus. We appreciate your patience as we troubleshoot ways to expedite the process.

Looking for a misplaced item at the Barton campus? There is a lost and found area in the lounge/seating space off Room 202.

Did you know? The Barton school office has its own dedicated line. Please add 503-637-5261 to your contacts as your DCS Barton number for quick reference.
