Eagle Eye News

Thank you to everyone who participated in conferences this past week. We pray the time was beneficial to parents, teachers and students in the pursuit of your student’s success. As we power on into the 2nd quarter, please utilize the Family Portal to keep track of your students’ academic progress and reach out to teachers if you have any questions or concerns.

Here is the always anticipated weekly Eagle Eye! We have a lot of events coming up, including the Fall Drama Production of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Watch for tickets to go on sale very soon!

Secondary Students, Missions Club is collecting items for Operation Christmas Child and would like your help! You can donate items or money.  The class with the most items/donations will earn donuts for the whole class courtesy of Missions Club!  Every $2 donated will count as one item and the number of items will be prorated to class size.  Bring your items or make your donation by Monday, November 18th!

Did you get the memo this past week? Panda Express will be replacing Noodles & Co. in our Friday lunch lineup starting this Friday, November 15th.

Noodles & Co. was unable to meet our requirements for lunch deliveries. If you've made orders with Noodles & Co. already, those orders should already be canceled, and a credit added to your account. You can expect to see these credits, and they will always be available on your My Hot Lunchbox account with no expiration date.

Panda Express is excited to begin serving our school. If you would like your student(s) to receive lunch from Panda Express, please log in and place your order by 12:00 PM the day before each delivery. If you have any questions or concerns, please email info@myhotlunchbox.com or call (888) 894-8295.

DCC is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on campus this Saturday, November 16th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Donors may receive a $10.00 e-gift card to the merchant of their choice.

We’re excited to share that we have received our development permit which moves us one step closer to being able to start construction. Due to the need for increased septic service, the project will be required to start with construction of a new septic system and the adjoining courtyard. We have partnered with Perlo Construction to serve as the Construction Manager/General Contractor for Phase 1, and they are currently making preparations to start the bidding process for sub-contractors from the following trades:

  • Excavation

  • Landscaping

  • Fencing

  • Electrician

  • Site Concrete

  • Paving

We know some in our school family have shared a desire to potentially donate some or all of their services for this project. If you, or someone you know, might consider helping us and are licensed for commercial projects in these trades, please click here to download the Perlo Pre-Qualification Packet. Interested parties can email the completed documents to bids@perlo.biz for consideration. Please include “Damascus Community Church and Christian School” in the subject line of the email.

Thank you for your consideration in helping advance our Building on Faith Campus Expansion.
