Happy New Year DCS! We are looking forward to all that God has in store for this year. We pray your Christmas break was restful and rejuvenating and you are all ready to join us as we move forward into 2025 with purpose and intentionality! Here is the Eagle Eye for a look at this week’s activities as well as important upcoming dates.
There is still a high number of stomach and respiratory illnesses across the state. As a result, we want to remind all families of our sick student protocol. Feel free to call our school nurse, Jessi, in the school office with any questions.
Vomiting/Diarrhea: Stay home at least 24 hours after last episode of vomiting or diarrhea.
Fever (temp over 100.4): Stay home until student is 24 hours fever free without medication
Coughs: if a student has a persistent cough requiring constant cough drops or water, it is best to stay home until student can stay in class comfortably.
Students should not self-medicate during the school day. If a student requires cough/cold medicine midday, please have them stay home.

Mark Your Calendars! Re-enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is coming! Re-enrollment will kick off on Monday, January 13th, and the deadline to secure your student’s seat for the next school year is Friday, January 24th.
Our After-School Care program has successfully been up and running 5 days a week from 3:00-5:00 PM each day after school. As we come to the end of the 1st semester, it’s time to sign up for 2nd semester, which will begin the week of January 19th! To sign up for after-school care, please complete the After-School Care Contract and email it to dcs@damascuscc.org.
Open Staff Positions – DCS is in immediate need of filling a couple positions and are taking applications for open positions. If you or someone you know is interested, please email dcs@damascuscc.org. Open positions include long-term substitute for Spanish and Assistant Track & Field Coaches.
