January 27-February 1, 2025 - Eagle Eye News

As we roll into another full week, check out all that’s going on in the weekly edition of the Eagle Eye and get a mid-year newsletter update From the Eagles Nest

Thank you to everyone who completed their re-enrollment before the deadline. With another year of high retention rates and new student applications already rolling in, we are looking ahead and making plans for the 2025-2026 school year. If you have a new student in your family you were planning on enrolling, now is the time to get those applications submitted! Contact Heidi Hale in the school office if you have questions.

FREE Speech & Language Screenings are this Wednesday, January 29th! Only one day left to sign up... the deadline is January 27th.

We would like to take a moment to remind students and families that any device, including smart watches, used to communicate during school hours is prohibited. The DCS handbook states: "Cell phones are not an acceptable device for use in the classroom during school hours. Smartwatches are considered a cell phone equivalent and should be treated as such."

Parents, please do not communicate directly with your student during the school day as this is a distraction from their learning time.  If you need to communicate with your student, please call the office and we can deliver any necessary messages.  Students can stop by the office to call home if a need arises during the school day.  Smart watches and cell phones may be confiscated if used during the school day, to be collected by a parent after school.

The 2nd Annual Building on Faith Auction is set for Saturday, March 15! This year’s theme is “Under the Big Top”, promising a night of fun, fellowship, and fundraising. We are seeking table hosts to invite friends and family, donations of items or experiences for the auction, and volunteers to help make this event a success. Mark your calendars and join us.
