From the School Office
If your student is late to school, they must check in with the school office. Please do not send your student directly to their class. Teachers will be expecting your student to give them an admit slip from the office when arriving late to their class. If they do not have one, they will be sent to the office. If your student has an excuse for late check in, such as a medical appointment, you can notify us through a phone call, email or send a written note with your student.
If you need to check your student out early, please notify the school office prior either by phone or through email with the day and time of pick up. When you arrive on campus to pick your student(s) up, you can remain in your car, call the school office to let them know where you are parked in the parking lot and someone will walk your student out to you. Parents of driving students, if your student needs to check out early, you will still need to notify the school office either by phone or through email with the day/time and reason. Students on sports teams that have early dismissal for games do not need to be signed out in the school office, however, siblings checking out early to accompany them will need to be signed out in the school office.
Want to drop off lunch for your student(s)? Please bring the lunch, marked with your students name and grade, to the school office prior to lunch time. We ask that you do not go directly to your student's classroom.

During drop off and pick up, you must use one of the two crosswalks if you are walking your student to or from the building and the parking lot. Parents of driving students, please remind your students of this as well. Drivers, please proceed slowly and be aware of crossing students/families.
And lastly, please make sure you regularly clean your students’ masks and pack them an extra one as well. We will also continue to have them available in multiple areas of the campus.
After School Ride Needed - We have a family seeking assistance with rides home for their students after school. They live approximately 3 minutes from the school. Please contact the school office if you are able to help in this way.
Calling All Substitute Teachers – If you are interested in subbing at DCS please complete the following employment application, turn it in to the school office, and complete the background check process.
