Welcome to the 1st Edition of the 2022-2023 Weekly Eagle Eye. Each weekly edition will include important news, announcements, and reminders; as well as a look at the week’s events, sports competitions, volunteer opportunities, upcoming dates to mark on your calendar and ways to get connected at DCS and DCC. Absence/Appointment Notification – Parents must notify the school office of any absence (part or full day) or scheduled appointment. Please email dcsattendance@damascuscc.org or click the “Report an Absence” button on the home page of our website www.dcs4you.org. If your student is late to school, they must sign in through the school office before going to class. All elementary age students must be accompanied by an adult to sign them in.
Please follow the below process for picking up a student early:
- Once on campus, it is preferred that parents remain in their car and call the school office to notify that they have arrived and are ready for pickup. If needed, parents can also park and report to the school office to sign their child out, however, parents are never to go directly to their child’s class.
- Office personnel will get the student from class and bring them to their parent
- Students will not be sent to the school office before their ride is on campus. Often students sent ahead of time spend excessive amounts of time in the office waiting for their ride and missing valuable class time. Parents should plan accordingly and allow extra time for office personnel to get their student from class.
- Students must always be signed in and out through the school office regardless of the reason and the office must always have parental notification regardless of the student’s age/grade.
2021-2022 Yearbooks Are HERE! Each family receives one complimentary copy of the yearbook, which will be handed out to the oldest student in the family today, Monday, September 12th. Secondary students will have the opportunity for yearbook signing today as well. If you would like to have yearbook for each of your kids, additional copies are available for purchase at $20 each. School Picture Day is just around the corner…next week, Tuesday, 9/20! Order your preferred picture packet today with this easy 3-Step Process:
- Go to mylifetouch.com
- Enter our DCS Picture Day ID EVT8QGCXW
- Order your perfect package – and don’t worry about returning anything on Picture Day! ATTENTION: You must order picture packets for your student using their first and last name as it is listed in our student database (RenWeb). If you order a picture packet using a different name (i.e., middle name, nickname or modified last name) that is different from their name as it’s listed, their picture will not match up with their order and you will not get their picture packet in a timely manner.
