Dear DCS Family…Yesterday our nation is, again, in need of prayer. As we have seen time and time again over the last several months, violence, disorder and unrest have terrorized our nation, a result of living in a sinful and broken world. Let us join our LORD in pursing righteousness and hating violence (Psalm 11:5), let us detest what is evil and hold fast to what is good (Romans 12:9), and let us pray for our country and all of our nation’s leaders as they fulfill the roles for which God has placed them in power (1 Timothy 2:1-2). “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34).

Our wonderful 6th graders gathered 100's of boxes of Mac & Cheese for the needy to be distributed by the Salvation Army. Way to go 6th graders!
These amazing writers were all top three finishers in this years VFW essay contest. DCS annually has the most winners of any school in our county!
Due to poor air quality. Camp is postponed until Wednesday, September 16th.
Due to wildfires our camp has been cancelled for Thursday and Friday, September 10th and 11th. We are tentatively planning to start the camp on Monday, September 14th.
